The PL2887 is USB Type-C DFP charging controller, used for advertise Type-C current through CC1/CC2 pins. In addition, the PL2887 also provide the conventional USB Battery Charging Specification Rev.1.2 (BC1.2), Divider mode and 1.2V mode to comply with the legacy fast charging mode of mobile devices.
The PL2887 built-in a gate driver to turn on the external power MOSFET of VBUS when the device attached, and implement the discharging circuit when detached.
